Orientation 2019

NEUROSCIENCE SPRING ORIENTATION

TUESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2019 | COVERDELL CENTER

It’s here!

The UGA Neuroscience Program will host a comprehensive orientation day for students and faculty on Tuesday, January 8 in the Coverdell Center. This event is packed with great information, so don’t miss out! To accommodate our incoming and returning students, the orientation is broken into two sessions. The first is specifically for our new neuroscience cohort. The second is for the entire neuroscience community––students and faculty.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Marshall Shepherd, Distinguished Professor of Geography and Atmospheric Sciences at UGA. He will be speaking on the role social media plays in communicating scientific work to the public. An accomplished scientist in his own right, Dr. Shepherd dedicates much of his time sharing his expertise and research with the general public, government officials, and other stakeholders.
